Hospitality
The hospitality ministry team has just begun to take shape during 2008.
A brief summary of their role and responsibility is to help people become part of our congregation
and so during the summer they organized the weekly potluck dinners before our Sunday evening services
as a time for visitors and members to get to know each other.
They also oversee and look after the coffee and refreshments on Sundays, and help out with light catering
needs for special events and funerals.
2008 also saw a transition of leadership with the Inn from the Cold Program. We thanked Ruth Storey and
Bobbie Davidson, who organized the program over the past number of years and we welcomed Leslie O’Loughlin as
our new co-ordinator.
The IFTC cold program continues to be a wonderful way to help those in need, as well as provide people from
our community a chance to help out and become connected with our church. In the fall of 2008, due to the
opening of their new family facility, we were only needed to host IFTC every other month.
We look forward to the exciting ways in which this ministry team will grow and show God’s love to
people in 2009.
